Clean Funnel was invented in 1991 by Hoyt Pattison of Clovis, New Mexico.  Having grown up on a farm, Hoyt has spent his entire life farming.  Using farm equipment on a daily basis means the use of many types of oils and lubricants.  Faced with having to clean out the accumulated dirt and grime in his funnels, Hoyt came up with the idea of the Clean Funnel.

Though there are now many knock-offs of Clean Funnels being made in China, the original Clean Funnel® is still made here in the USA.
